Dolphins are better served starting fitz if they wish to advance in the playoffs.
Sign of bad ownership. The Dolphins figured that Tua would be more likely to put butts in seats... during a pandemic when seating is limited or disallowed.

He’s 6-2 as a starting rookie QB.

I'd still want the veteran. He was 3-3 when he was benched. I get the idea of giving Tua the team, he's clearly the future. But with his recent injury history and an uncompetitive division, it was a weird choice.

It’s not like it’s hard to bring Fitz in, like they did yesterday. If they feel Tua is sucking.

They’re tied in career playoff snaps fwiw. At zero.

Well, yeah. It's an even shittier team than the Dallas Cowboys, just not as overrated.

If the point of starting Tua when they did was to give him experience in a building year, then it didn't make sense. If the point was to sell merchandise, it still doesn't make sense.

Miami is 10-5.

They’re in the playoffs as of right now. I’m not following what you’re saying, at all. They’re playing to win, not sell stuff.

I’m not saying he’s not good but he has 3 wins against teams picking in the top 10 of the draft. Another win (his first as a starter) where the defense/special teams scored half their points and his QBR didn’t reach 30. A horrid loss to a bad Denver team. That 6-2 Mark is a bit misleading.

& one win he gets credit for is because Fitzmagic came in for the victory

Miami is trying to build for the future. Tua didn’t get pre-season games and practice situations have been limited so basically Tua is learning on the job. When he is in the playbook is limited because he can’t make the reads. My guess is the team has decided to sacrifice wins in this season to potentially benefit next year.

Please note if Tua is a bust I will be delighted.

6-2 is 6-2.

Ryan Fitzpatrick isn’t getting anyone anywhere. Not any football team anyway. He’s a backup who is smart enough to know being a character makes money.

The Cowboys can still win their division.

Again it’s misleading. But it is 6-2.

Ryan Fitzpatrick is likely a better option for advancing a round in the playoffs then Tua at the moment. But long term it does nothing for the dolphins except prevent an injury. I see it both ways.

Yeah, but it's an empty achievement. Whichever team does it is already assured of a losing record and no more than 4 wins outside of division.

Winning the division is an accomplishment no matter how weak it is.
