I am not sure what you mean by Yu Darvish 2.0 though...are you asking if they are both Japanese? What else do you see that they have in common?

Not even that. He's not close to Darvish in K/9. Darvish walked more guys too, but Imanaga pitches to contact way more. Imanaga's ERA will probably come up some, but Darvish also came over when he was 25, and Imanaga is already 30. He looks like a good middle of the rotation guy, Darvish was trending towards ace before he got hurt.

Why can't he change his name to a traditional baseball name like Rusty Kuntz?
I think he's had some good fortune (look at the HR/FB rate, also has a LOB% above 80%), but we're still talking about a guy with excellent K/BB rates (his K% ranks 18th among starters; he has the 7th best BB%). A 2.78 FIP and 3.33 xFIP get him around the top 20. I have a feeling his numbers will mirror Tanaka, which isn't a bad thing.
Darvish 2.0 ain't a bad thing either. Career 117 ERA+ and over 30 WAR, his biggest issue was staying healthy.
