Looks like we'll get a proper false spring after all, high of 60 on Saturday before a couple of freezing nights and highs in the 30s.

R.I.P. Kingda Ka, 2005 to 2025. Long live the king!
Kingda Ka, the tallest and second-fastest roller coaster in the world, came down in a controlled implosion at Six Flags Great Adventure.www.app.com
It's a shame, didn't get a proper send-off. Basically shuttered it at the end of Fright Fest and then announced after it had been closed for the season that it was going to be demoed. It's scary to think that when you remove like 2 vital parts how quickly it falls

Online rumor is that the fall ride that ran on that tower got damaged in a storm somehow, and the park wanted to run the coaster in '25 before shutting it down, but the state wouldn't let them only run the coaster without fixing the fall ride. So the park just closed them both, since '25 was going to be the end anyway. Hopefully whatever that replace it with actually opens on time now.
I mean, they did basically put profit ahead of their consumers here. They weren't going to get an annual approval to operate the ride without making the repairs, and they decided to not make the necessary repairs on the lesser known ride.Well it's good to say they put safety ahead of profit.. Most parks would just let it continue to operate and have someone or multiple people hurt before doing anything with it

Oh, (Tr)Action Park. I don't remember if the looped body slide was there the time I went. I did basically take the skin off my shoulders on the Alpine Slide there (I was like 7 or 8 when we went), and I do remember that part of the first aid was "just go sit in the wave pool and let the chlorine kill the germs that are trying to get in".
Yeah, Action park was one of the more famous. OBviously never been, but I've heard about it (I mean there was a doucmentary about it, but i didn't watch).Oh, (Tr)Action Park. The 80s were wild.
I tend to dislike january more, feburary you at least start to get hope by end of the month and longer daysFebruary is the worst month of the year
January starts off decent though. You still have some of that holiday feel and the new year coming in. By February it's just gray and dreary outside all day every day.I tend to dislike january more, feburary you at least start to get hope by end of the month and longer days
