One of my friends grew up in the town and worked at the park. He said that they'd take bets on which people would need help.Yeah, Action park was one of the more famous. OBviously never been, but I've heard about it (I mean there was a doucmentary about it, but i didn't watch).
"there were too many bloody noses and back injuries" from riders. Some early riders came back with lacerations to their bodies; when the ride was closed to determine what had caused them, teeth that had fallen out were found lodged in the interior walls"
I know the park was responsible for a couple of deaths
The other slide was from Kansas, the plan was so insane even Texas said the park couldn't build it there, but along came Kansas......sadly it decapitated a 12 year old and was shut down after that
The park is still there, but most of the really dangerous stuff is gone. There's still the cliff jump and it looks like the one body slide that launched you put like 15 feet above the pool is still there, but it seems like they ditched the rope swing over the pool because they had to rescue too many people.
