You ain't this tough.

Speaking on his weekly radio show, Dabo gave some background to the injuries to both players, but went further into how they found out about Caleb Nix.

"He played the whole game with a torn ACL, on all the special teams. I’m talking covering kicks, the whole deal," Swinney said this week. "He said he just felt like something wasn't right, but he just kept playing and didn’t really say anything to anybody. He thought he just hyperextended his knee.

Ricky Rudd’s eyes were swollen shut after this crash:

He ran the entire Daytona 500 a few days later with his eyes taped open, and he finished in the top 10. Won the next race at Richmond the following week

And I’m banned from r/NASCAR for making a joke about a driver nicknamed Rubberhead(Kurt Busch) having a career ending concussion in a much more tame crash

Ray Caldwell finished pitching a game after getting struck by lightning:

Caldwell was struck by lightning while playing for the Cleveland Indians against the Philadelphia Athletics in 1919; despite being knocked unconscious, he refused to leave the game, having pitched 8+2⁄3 innings, and went on to record the final out for the win.

There is no secret to it.

Just rub some dirt on it.

no way whatever GIF

You know who also played on a torn ACL and kicked Scar's ass in the process? Deshaun.
Potential role model?

It’s literally impossible for an ice skater to be tough. A bunch of fucks that dreamed of being the next Brian Boitano, but weren’t manly or talented enough, so they settled for ice soccer
What about Johnny Weir? Dude took multiple dicks up his ass and still managed to become an Olympic medalist.

Doc Ellis threw a no-hitter on acid.

I once wrecked in a motocross race and the clutch lever, which the end had broken off in a previous crash, somehow passed between my glove and wrist and went into the glove and into the palm of my left hand.

:sad2:

My Dad told me "It won't get any worse so you may as well keep racing!" ....and so I did. The next day my hand had swollen to twice its size. Hurt like hell. Eventually it healed....

But in sports, when an injury that may sideline a player due to future surgeries or even if it's just a sprained ligament they may decide to wrap the injured part up and play on because to do so will not effect the area of injury any worse than it is and since the athlete will require treatment of affected area anyway, playing on would make no difference to the current injury or any future treatment or surgery.
