Not bad. Boba was more bad ass in Empire and Jedi, though. They are trying to make him Neutral Good now, while he was Neutral Evil in the original movies. Not that one is better than the other, but it is just different. Maybe that is why they are concentrating on the flashbacks, to explain the change.
His death didn't seem very badassery. He died to a creature that can't even move.

Love that Filoni is setting it up that Boba can't just "do you know who I am" his way back to power. He's going to have to earn everything back and he'll get his ass-kicked in the process and have to fight back. Complete contrast to the sequels.
Wasn't sure how I felt about them going back in time a lot, but I'm starting to see some future tie-ins with the Pykes and quite possibly Crimson Dawn? Which means a possible certain Solo character cameo.

I doubt it. That “certain character” died on Tatooine pre New Hope. Even the flashbacks we are watching take place post Jedi.
I'm actually thinking Qi'ra instead of Maul (I remember him dying in Rebels). In some works after Solo she was confirmed to have been leading Crimson Dawn into the OT era and there were some speculation already she'd appear in this series. This would also be a good 20ish years after Solo, though, so if she appears wonder how they'd approach aging her if they do at all.
Didn't know Temuera Morrison is of Maori descent and that's apparently why he makes some of those faces in combat. If that's true that's actually really cool.
