Teams are calling about Wentz but the Eagles want a 1st rounder

I mean, if someone's asking, no reason to start at the floor.
He's still just 28 but he needs a lot of help.

Indy should be interested since Reich was in Philly when Wentz played well.....I think a 2nd and 3rd could get it done. Not a 1st, coming off the season he had.

The Eagles would be taking a $34 million cap charge to trade Wentz. That's a lot of coin to have someone play elsewhere.

I'm ready for the weekend.....

Think Eagles can expect a 2nd and maybe a 3rd for Wentz.....that's about it.

I honestly dont think there is a market for Wentz.
They are trying to use his pedigree of where he was drafted to get a better deal, but that ship has sailed!

There would have to be someone out there that seen his video & thought I see potential or I see how to fix him. I doubt there is anyone actually thinking that & if there were, that guy would have to be a coach & the GM.
Even if you just traded a 6th for the guy. You dont give up much draft capital, but you are paying him starter money, so you would have to bet on him being a starter. Not fighting for the job. What coach would want to hang his hat on that?

Indy but they will probably be frugal in trading for him.

Imagine the Bears trading a 1st to get Wentz?

LOL.

Seems like a lot for a guy that is going to need to be fixed

This. I don’t know of anyone saying they will or should get a 1st for Wentz. But, you don’t negotiate wisely by anchoring to the floor.

You anchor high and make it clear you’re open to talk. I said this last week on the Stafford to Rams trade....no trade informs the next one. A trade is commenced when the value perceived between both sides is acceptable.

I think it will be hard for the Eagles to unload Wentz to a team that thinks giving up a 1st for him is solid value for them. But, the true value of draft picks is always changing, and a team that considers themselves very close to being a solid SB competitor will always value the player potential that could get them there over a draft pick of any round (considering that team likely has a first rounder picking in the mid 20s).

MORE MANAGEABLE.

If the Eagles get a 1st rounder they are shipping out Wentz, a 2nd and a 3rd.....IMO.
