The west coast teams showed up large in the B1G in baseball this year but they always seem to have a team in the CWS.

The '
left' coast has always played good baseball. Particularly in California. It's just another example of kids being able to play outdoors year around. Kids across the Midwest aren't out at the local park playing baseball in the winter months.
The former PAC 12 has more CWS titles than any other conference.
Oregon is a newcomer. They've only made the CWS once and that was in 1954. This regular season conference championship was their first since 1957. That being said they're pumping money into the program and have made the NCAA tournament for the last 5 years straight. I don't expect this to be a one-and-done.

Left coast teams who've made noise in the CWS....
USC (12 National Titles)(21 CWS Appearances)
Arizona St (5 National Titles)(22 CWS Appearances)
Arizona (4 national titles)(18 CWS Appearances)
Cal St Fullerton (4 National Titles)(18 CWS Appearances)
Oregon St (3 National Titles)(7 CWS Appearances)
Stanford (2 National Titles)(19 CWS Appearances)
California (2 National Titles)
UCLA (1 National Title)
Fresno St (1 National Title)
Pepperdine (1 National Title)
If anything the former PAC 12 members should make BIG 10 baseball more competitive.
