I've been debating which is the dumber rule implemented by the MLB, the 7 inning double headers or starting a runner on second base in extra innings. But seeing all these recent double header games, i think the answer is 7 inning double headers.

The advantage it gives the home team is ridiculous. Essentially if you're the away team and don't score, the home team gets one successful sacrifice bunt to get that runner to 3rd and you're just one sacrifice outfield fly away from the game being over. You could lose the game on back to back outs.I’m fine with the seven inning DHs. Not a big deal. The runner to start extras I think is much more hated at this point.
I really wanted to like the runner on in extras for some early extra inning excitement. But, even I’m having trouble fully liking it.
An even dumber way to resolve ties in the regular season than the NHL going to shootouts.Looks like both the 7 inning double header games and starting a runner at second in extra innings is going to be gone next year.
