I'm gonna vote 500 as well.

If y'all wouldn't mind telling me why you are voting for 500 I would appreciate it, i'm not going to disagree I would just like to know your reasoning.

I just copied UK. lol jk.

I actually liked 500's 2nd lineup better. I liked your 1st lineup and you had the advantage there. I thought 500's back end rotation was better. I thought the gaps in the back half could have swayed the series in 500's favor.

Sure, I thought it was real close, almost all teams in an open draft are stacked to where it's tough to pick. I thought the strength of your team was the middle of the lineup on your first team, but I think 500's overall team 1 lineup is very close to that. I thought his second 9 was far superior. Thought your pitching was a little better. I think overall his team 1 was strong enough to be 2-2 though 4 games instead of 3-1 for you. His game 2 lineup takes 2 of 3 to edge you in 7. That's just how I saw it, but any team has a valid argument against any team in this one IMO

I put Schilling 4th in the rotation because I knew Shane would match 500 and I up. lolzzz

Guess I shouldn't have. :beer2:

I have personally seen Verlander almost single handily win series and dominate my Yankees in the postseason, so the notion that he is some choker is flawed (3.40 postseason ERA). The WS is just small sample size randomness. I will vote 500 but like others have said it's very close. Feel my power 1-18 gets it done and was able to use the fact that I believe in the open draft some of the current or more modern guys get undervalued and I liked rounding my team out at the end of the drafts with them and the rotation came out strong despite not using high draft capital on it

You have also personally watched him shit himself in the World Series. Quit being so defensive, I also voted for you!

I just enjoy sports debates it’s not defensive why would I give a shit about Verlander I hate him he owns my team lol. It just doesn’t compute to me that a guy would dominate in big games in the playoffs but somehow the World Series is too much for him.

500 has the better hitting overall. Nos has the better rotation overall. Nos has the better BP. It's close but I go with 500 bc of the lineup. I agree with others about entire lineup being better for 500 but I also think Nos' rotation is much better. The voting doesn't represent how close it is though, it's pretty neck and neck.

Before Verlander was on the Astros I absolutely thought he was overrated but my opinion has changed. All our rotations are going to be stacked. Verlander and Schilling are pretty close. Nos still had the better rotation.

He's 0 - 3 with an ERA over 5 in the World Series with the Astros.

It wasn't just about the WS, I meant overall. He did struggle in the postseason but it was more than that in Detroit.

Overall it's pretty much just the WS for Verlander though, that isn't enough to consider him overrated. Like I said Schilling and Verlander are close even with his WS struggles. Schilling definitely has more of the clutch gene.

ALDS 2.52 ERA
ALCS 3.13 ERA

His WS struggles are why he isn't greater imo.

Same for Kershaw except Kershaw overall is awful in the playoffs, pretty shocking.

NLDS - 4.02 ERA
NLCS - 4.84 ERA
WS - 4.46 ERA

Verlander pitched a gem today against the Mets
