I absolutely loved The Walking Dead for the first three years or so, kept watching through the midway point of season 7 then just stopped. I just watched this trailer and wow it looks terrible.

Yeah, that was the previous plan, but with the franchise declining from its ratings a decade ago, they decided to forgo theatrical release and turn Rick's return into a TV series.

Guess Ira just a mini series from what I've read further. Certainly has a bigger feel to it than the show. I'll probably give it a watch even though I stopped watching the show long before Rick even left the show
