I find this unacceptable.

So how is it that (in the least and notwithstanding any of his other great songs) “Country Roads“ and “Rocky Mountain High” aren’t considered as “works of enduring importance to American culture”? Nevermind the shitty football they play in Colorado and West Virginia, the songs are still iconic to the nation.

HOOPLANATION should work to remedy this. Someone volunteer to lead the charge.

The coolest thing John Denver ever did was smiling like a retard while Charlie Rich set his award on fire

Well, there may not be any in the National Recording Registry,

But now there's one stuck in my head.

🎵 ... radio reminds me of my home far away ...
... drivin' down the road I get the feelin' that I should have been home yesterday ...
... yesterdaaaaaaaaaaay ... 🎵

Disagree, the coolest thing he ever did was being born in Roswell, NM and have a hotshot USAF pilot for a father only to die when he dunked his ultralight in the bay because he hired some knucklehead (that put the fuel selector switch behind him instead of somewhere accesable) to design and build the thing.
