Morning gang

Sun is back and decent temps, so that is nice to see. After ten years of living here, finally bought new ceiling lights to replace the cheap ones that came with the house

Supposed to be near 90 for the next couple of days before it cools off a bit again. Last regular season game tonight for baseball, then playoffs on Saturday. Unless we decide to start mashing at the plate all of a sudden, that's going to be the end of our season. Tee ball also ends Saturday. Looking into taking the older kids to a "non-district" tournament next month.

We might be dodging thunderstorms on Saturday, but other than that it looks like mostly mid 70s to low 80s for a while, which is nice.

I had an RAR Light last night after mowing the lawn...it was good.

need this weather to clear for the weekend...I am not excited about rain the entire time I am in Boston.

Oh, rainy is the best way to enjoy Boston. Break out the Sou'wester!

we are going up Saturday just for the night for an 80th surprise birthday party then heading out for dinner with the wife's aunt and cousin from the Hamptons...I think for Italian, which I am pumped for

finalizing some plans for Montreal

reservations made for one fancy dinner, so have to bring some decent clothes. Going to deli I think part owned by celine dion, so....but I'm told it's very good and actually lives up to the hype. Also going to get a bologna sammie from old school place

and of course botanical gardens are on the list and some other cultural shit

If a canadian tuxedo is denim, i hate to see what the step down for bringing "decent" clothes is.

Coach Pitch was fun last night. We played the other team in town. The Farm League coach that kept Grand down & his son decided to run a scoreboard. His daughter was on the other team. So we bat through our whole order and they didn't keep score. Then the other team scored about 3 runs and they were up 3-0. Our kids noticed and for 5 to 7 yr olds they kept asking about it. We never did get those runs on the board. Scoreboard read the other team won, but they didn't as we had 10 runs never scored. Had to quiet Grand & another kid on our team about the Farm League coach. They both hit rockets and in the dugout went to each other and said, "Guess he should have moved us up!" Very happy with the team performance as our team got whooped by them game 1 and now we were whooping on them while they regressed.

Closing date on the old house moved up to tomorrow. So I gotta run over there tonight and do some last minute cleaning and collect my paint cans.

My kids, seems like we can never put it all together. Hitting especially, seems like there's always 2 innings a game where we don't score and our batters won't swing at strikes.

At 80, they’re all kinda surprises…right?

I'm enjoying this year as it is adult pitching. Grand will probably struggle with kids pitching, especially up to 3 years older and some technically 4 on how birthdays fall. It's always tougher the older they get. A lot of fear of failure for most kids.
