Morning all.
 
did a whole lot of nothing last night, which was nice.

I have a little Christmas get together this afternoon where a buddy is making a brisket and invited us over to enjoy it, so that will be nice.

another Christmas party tomorrow with a white elephant..I need to make meatballs and get some hawaiian rolls

Thoughts and prayers.

I used to have a different problem with the timer function on my pot. If the power went out, or if something overloaded the surge protector the pot is on, I'd remember to reset the clock on the coffee maker, but not always remember to set the start time, which defaults to midnight. Been plenty of times that I'd walk into the kitchen, expecting hot coffee, and having a pot of room temperature stuff.
 
I need to learn my lesson and stick to the more reputable car rental places.

I mean, I booked through Priceline and picked a…mid? Tier? Place?

Got set up with a Nissan Versa with 55k miles that reeked of pot and the brakes would vibrate if you attempted to tap them at anything higher than 25 mph.

Then on returning it, some stoner dude approached my car and just says “you’ll get your deposit back in 2-3 days” upon which we then see two other stoner dudes jump in and rip it through the parking lot at about 55 mph with a parking lot full of people walking around to get to the car wash.

Get the invoice a couple hours later saying I dropped the car off 3 hours after I did, so they charged me an extra days worth of fees ($33 so wtfever).

Got most of my deposit back dis morning doe?

I have set it up the night before only to hit the power button instead of the timer button. Basically it started brewing right then, but I was no longer in the kitchen to notice.

Next morning... Cold pot of coffee. derp
