Targetting and this so-called Illegal Blindside Block need to be done away with. Fucking awful calls most of the time in a collision sport. Get the fuck outta here with that shit.

That is all.

That "blindside" was not really blindside by the time the guy hit him his body was facing him, sure his head was turned but it was chest to chest pretty much, it was a bad call in my opinion shoulda probably been a no call

I don't mind calling targetting but most of them are hot bullshit to kick a player out of the game.

It changed the scope of the Clemson/OSU playoff game not only on the call (which wasn't even called on the field) but because OSU lost such a key player.

It went from 16-0 Clemson punting and OSU going into the half at that score to ultimately 16-7 minus Wade.

Most of these should be no calls. Blindside blocks shouldn't even be a thing in general, they are seeking the ball carrier in an active play... you are allowed to block them from the front or the side. Keep your head on a swivel as the saying goes.

I agree. Most of the time I disagree with targetting, but I would complain about it less if the players weren't DQ'd (unless it was obviously blatant and egregious). But most of the time these are bang-bang plays and not as easily avoidable from the outside looking in as they think annnnd I just flat out think the refs miscall them all the time. It could be a perfect form tackle, but if it was a little hard, a flag is coming out. Fucking ridiculous.
