Tommy Heinsohn is dead

A legend as a basketball player, a great coach, a legend as a homerific broadcast partner for the Celtics' games, a very talented artist/painter and by all accounts in the Boston area a genuine, soft spoken, nice guy.

The sports world lost a renaissance man and a true gentleman today.

One of the true greats.
 
I used to love when he would be the color analyst on a Celtics game that was being broadcast nationally where the announcers are expected to be neutral.

Tommy gave zero fucks, to hear his analysis, you'd think no one but Celtics fans were watching.
