My top 16 seeds:

South Regional(Louisville, KY)

1. Alabama
2. UCLA
3. Iowa State
4. Gonzaga

Midwest Regional(Kansas City, MO)

1. Kansas
2. Arizona
3. Tennessee
4. Miami

West Regional(Las Vegas, NV)

1. Houston
2. Texas
3. Marquette
4. Xavier

East Regional(New York, NY)

1. Purdue
2. Baylor
3. Virginia
4. Kansas State

Xavier was my last team to make the top 16. I could see Uconn being that team, but Xavier has the season sweep, and with them being relatively close, I think that gives them the edge. It also wouldn't surprise me to see Uconn be there instead of Miami with their great predictive metrics, but Miami has such a gaudy record(and a good Q1/Q2 record), I think the committee takes them instead. Also, the real big outlier between results based and predictive is St. Marys. I don't think they'll be included, but if they are it will give a clear indication the committee is looking at predictive more than results based metrics.

BE got shit on.

Indiana and Kstate ahead of us is a fucking joke.

Yeah, don't understand the IU thing. Resume certainly not there.

Only thing I can think of is they're taking the Race Thompson injury into account. But they're still only 16-6 with him and 3-2 without him. Outside of that it was a bad decision based on basically everything.

If they were taking injuries into account then Iowa had a better argument than Indiana to be on the 4 line considering they're only 2 bad loses came when multiple starters are out including Murray

Abd that would be an image argument to make lol

Yeah, that's what makes it so puzzling because nothing says they should be top 16, at least coming into the day. I was trying to think why the committee sees them that favorably. They do have a decent NET, and they did say St. Mary's and Creighton we're teams that just missed, so I'm guessing they're putting a lot of weight into NET ranking? Just trying to find some justification as to why they are where they are and it's tough.

BE got shit on.

That's fairly typical but I expected this year to be different because the metrics are good for the top teams. Guess not. I mean, it's not egregious but I would have had Marquette as at least the last 3.

Big East and ACC got snubbed a little, but St Marys really got robbed.

I mean, I get their profile is better than their schedule, but still they rank in the Top 13 in all metrics and Top 8 in two, and are in first place and beat Gonzaga. At least stick them at 16.

Biggest Issue with them is that they lack quality wins. And have some puzzling losses. They'll probably be seeded a seed line or two lower than they should be based on their metrics because that seems to be what happens with mid majors. I actually think, assuming they'd be a 5 at this point, is probably about right. They've only beaten two projected tournament teams at this point.

I would say in no particular order. So basically, they see the 4 Big East Teams as roughly the same which is somewhat fair but I think Marquette deserves a slight bump.

St Marys probably a seed lower than they should be. But you're right, mid-majors (not named Gonzaga) tend to take a seed hit.

Yeah tbh, I actually thought MU would be a 4(the first 4).

But it was mostly the teams that we ended up behind.

And then the fact X barely made it and the chairman guy confirmed it was basically between X/Crieghton/Uconn. So it seems barring something nuts only 2 BE teams are getting 4 seeds or better
