The whole team is a shell of themselves. Seems like these consecutive seasons of deep postseason runs has caught up to them. If I was a 9ers fan I'd rather just fold 2024 to recharge for a competitive 2025. Send scrubs out more often to minimize further long-term injuries to core players.

Their style of play, age and deep runs have taken their toll. Their window is officially closed.

I agree with this, but I don't think the window is officially closed. None of their core players are far past their prime or damaged beyond repair. I think the 9ers re-claim the division next year. And the NFC W matches up with the NFC S and AFC S next year.

Packers already beat the 49ers 38-10. 49ers just beat the Bears 38-13.

It’s not outside the realm of possibility that they could win the West this year, but they’re not on the level of Green Bay or Detroit.

I agree, but given the mountain of injuries and hollow play, it's probably better for the team longer term if they don't make this postseason.

I'd much rather be knocked out of the playoffs by the 49ers every year than fuck up top-5 draft picks every year.
