walked the dog before coming into work. I go past this one house along a busier road that has a maybe 2 yr old German Shepherd. He is usually in their fenced in backyard, but I have seen him get out before.

Well he got out today and comes running at us...and gets rolled by a utility van. I tried to stop the van driver because I am sure he didn't see the dog coming, but no luck. It was like that scene in Mean Girls where the girl gets hit by the bus. Fuck, never been that close to anything like that.

Fortunately the van was high enough that it didn't drag the dog and the dog didn't go under any tires. He was laying in the road whimpering, so I ran to the owners house while the van owner hung with the dog. Dog owner comes out, and I turn around and see the dog run by me into the house. Goddamn that's one tough dog.

going to stop by the house tomorrow to see that the dog is alright...and maybe suggest a bigger fence.

also, going to avoid walking past that house in the future...

I was shocked as hell to see the dog get up and run into the house...but there's gotta be some damage done. Hope they take him to get checked out.
 
my liquor store has Surly Axe Man and it makes me sad that it is no longer Todd The Axe Man.

my ski pants aren’t insulated and are vented. Wore a t shirt and a button down on top. Didn’t fall. Didn’t sweat.
