VA Beach was interesting.
there was a skateboarding competition, Sublime concert with a bunch of other reggae bonds all along the boardwalk, and a national meetup of the Mongols motorcycle club...little bit of something for everyone.

My mom is flying in town on Friday and staying until Wednesday
I leave for NYC on Monday, my sister leaves for Dance Competition in Wisconsin on Tuesday
so, she'll have to kill a day on her own and find her own ride to airport, she'll probably go to her sisters

You mentioning going to NYC just reminded me to look at something. NJ Transit just announced a policy where tickets are only good for 30 days, and I have like 20 unused tickets that I bought with transit checks back in 2021 when my cards were going to expire. They're supposed to refund the tickets, but the refund is supposed to go back on the original card. Should be a fun trip to customer service when the time comes.
