UFC 259

Both men are animals.

are you not entertained russell crowe GIF

entire card is stacked. brady vs mathews isn’t getting any attention. fight should be insane

Even the prelims are stacked. Everyone was cut-up at the weigh ins.

Want to get this but see I NEED ESPN+ to get it. That means I already pay in my cable subscription for ESPN, now I have to pay whatever the monthly cost of ESPN+ and then pay the $70 for the fight.

I don't know if I want to give espn that money.

Decent PPV, but man UFC desperately needs a crowd now. Move this stuff to Texas or something so you can pack the arena. These are huge fights and they are missing so much because they are literally fighting out of a business office.

I thought the prelims were a lot better than the main card, but the main card still had surprises and fun. The Nunes / Anderson fight was over before it started. The first fight of the main card was a snooze fest. But the others delivered.

according to the reliable source that is the UFC and their television partner, UFC 259 did 600,000 PPV buys

strong ESPN-era number, but it really proves how boring the general public views some of the UFC's top fighters.

Thats not much. And bookie here did very little bets on the matches. They require you buy espn+ before you can get the ppv so there is already a revenue stream before the ppv. But I think it cuts down on how many are actually going to sign up for a ppv. See OD's post #7 in this thread.

ESPN+ sucks. A double paywall is a horrible idea, especially when you have very little star power on the current roster.

The transition from FOX to ESPN hasn't been fan friendly at all. Fight Nights used to be on FS1, now they're on a streaming service.
