5th string RB blew out his ACL. Tough break ... he was looking really good. We also have RB1/2 out with a hammy. Down to 3 scholly backs, 1 a true freshman. Not ideal.

I hope he starts but I haven’t seen anything announced yet. I guess they are playing it close to the vest. But less then 2 weeks til kickoff.

I hope he balls out for your guys. He was a great Dawg, in a bad situation. I'd love to see him have a hell of a year.

Yeah it’d be nice. I fully expect him to be the starter, I’m just shocked they haven’t said anything yet. But again maybe playing it close to the vest.

I'll be watching a lot of your games just to see him play. He was quite the stud around Athens, and when he lost the starting job he was always hip to hip with Stetson talking with him about what he was seeing. He handled it with class, a lot like Hurts did when Tua beat him out.

Got a couple on Thursday and the OOC isn’t that easy. We have an experienced offensive line but some new receivers. But time will certainly tell.

How do you guys look? You going to crush Oregon?

We should. They lost a lot and have a new coach to deal with. It's a home game for us ... we'll have a 90/10 fan advantage. Our O is skrong, and the D is loaded just inexperienced. Our talent is far better. But, it's a first game of the season scenario and they always make me nervous. Lanning will obviously know how defend us as well as anyone else would.

Interestingly, I heard the other day the reason that Smart likes these games - and I assume he learned this from Satan - is that he finds camp in August is much better when you have a serious first game compared to playing 2 or 3 crappy teams in a row.

ND only has 4 viable scholarship backs. JD Price was an incoming freshman who was going to get meaningful snaps. Out for year with Achilles tear.

We only have Chris Tyree, Audric Esteme Logan Diggs (just coming off injury) and incoming freshman G’bran Payne (former IU recruit).

If needed we have 2-3 "Athletes" who can play RB, although we aren't close to that. One of them would have been the no. 3 RB last year but we want him on the D side of the ball.

We also have some pretty good PWOs if it gets that far.
