That Western NC area is all kind of awesome....and since I started going there many of the counties are no longer dry...so that's a bonus.

A lot of those counties are part of the Cherokee Indian reservation. Casinos are wet, but counties are dry
 
Nice drive, I smell UNC losing this one.

Franklin is where I stayed when I spent about 3 months working at the Rabun Gap quarry in northeast GA.

But I spent a significant part of my childhood in Maggie Valley. Love that part of the country

About the only bad part of it that I can think of is the paper mill smell around Canton...I think it's Canton
