morning all, biked 12-13 miles last night and it aggravated my shoulder which has been bothering me for a year or so.

Apparently there was supposed to be a coach pitch game on our fields last night. The coach didn't contact the league president or our schedule coordinator. And someone didn't put the tarps back on the field they normally play on. So their game was rained out.

Bye tonight for Coach Pitch. Can mow the yard while Lil W is at her dance pool party. My buddy was at basketball camp yesterday and their league has an all star team for Coach Pitch. His son & Grand are buddies as well. Didn't realize how into coaching my buddy is as he only began coaching flag football last year.
How much film does he watch?

I'll have to ask. He did mention he watched the flag football championship his team lost but almost upset the favorite. He also has a draft list of this year's 2nd graders. I told him Grand isn't a great flag player, but he is on track to be a great tackle player as his prior coaches have told me. He also just walked on the coach pitch team and became their pitcher. They went from 2 to 3 runs a game to 15. He also was telling his son & Grand some pointers as we watched them at basketball.

The HS baseball coach at the stepkids old school & where I was youth wrestling coach just retired after 42 years. He won 631 games but never won a championship or made the championship game as a head coach. He won a title in Indiana as an assistant. He seemed like a good guy, but I always believe he underachieved with the talent he has had. The 2 out of 3 years he made the final 4 he lost with the better team. The kids my brother played baseball with definitely should have won one in those 2 years and the kids his age should have never lost the first round to kids they beat routinely. He was too attached to the kids from the other town & was his downfall.

Yep. Especially if his replacement wins one in the first 5 years. I had a distant relative on my dad's side win 2 at my mom's alma mater during his tenure with basically the same level of players. One of those players is a neighbor at our OH house. He & another coached my brother and the kids their age & a few years older. They won about every tournament they were in at all ages. As mentioned the older of the group played in 2 semis and lost. The last one was a heartbreak and that team (our biggest rival in youth wrestling) ended up winning the title.

Sons won both the 1st and 6th grade Super Bowls last Sunday. Almost got physically attacked during the 6th grade semi final for making fun of a parent who got mad at the refs and chucked his water bottle onto the field.
Both kids teams play next at the Big House for the Michigan Annual. Both teams were picked up by sponsors. NIL starting early.
