only thing a backup or snapshot costs is disk space... and prior disaster recovery planning, I guess, but hell, I have snapshots of development VMs that if I lost the whole thing tomorrow would take 1 day to recover.

Critical system backups should be less than an hour. This company's IT is a fucking joke.

A lot of places that have locations in multiple states will probably keep mask policies in place. Since you manage, I guess you might have more pull on whether to follow them or not
