as for the wife, I still haven't figured that out yet. she's a bitch to buy for. very, very particular in her likes and dislikes.

I still have a lot of my old stuff. Tons of track and about 20 cars. Been up in the attic for 50 years, so I don't hold out much hope for all of it.

Still have my favorite car.

I bought a boat from a guy once and he had this whole slot car track that was on pulleys in his garage that he could lower and race his cars around...it was something to see.

and there was a hobby shop near my house growing up that had a big track...I never got to go to it and now it's gone.

Bought my wife a remote start for her jeep, a new tablet, and some wireless sport Beats, so she can watch her shows without disturbing me.

I remember my dad taking me to a place for slot car racing. I'm sure I was pre school age, late 1960's or so. Dad was a truck driver, so he whittled a semi and trailer that he raced.

Is your mom your dad? You should charm it up.
dad passed away and all her tools are his old ones and a bit too heavy for her.

Here is an idea. Keep the tools for yourself and when something breaks be a good son and go over and fix it like a man.

Buy your mother something a woman would want. Not power tools.
