Made a name for himself running moonshine in the 40's and 50's, parlayed that into a legendary career as a NASCAR driver in NASCAR's early days, then became one of the most successful and most cheatingest NASCAR team owners of all time. He and Smokey Yunick are responsible for about half of the NASCAR rule book. And he lived to be 88.
