Throw in a year, if you feel brave.

Teams that have made the Playoff:
Alabama
Clemson
Ohio State
Oklahoma
Note Dame
LSU
Oregon
Georgia
Florida State
Michigan State
Washington

Who's next on the list.

UCLA looked good, but you know they'll faulter.

I would have to assume, that whatever team it's going to be, they will need to go undefeated to get in.

Most likely a B10 or SEC team as those are really the only 2 leagues currently where a 1 loss nob traditional power league champion can get in

Used to be all 5 of the P5s were like that but I don't see it now

That could change though

I'll throw my top 5 out there

1. Texas A&M
2. Penn St
3. Florida
4. Iowa
5. Wisconsin

Those 5 teams are consistently good. They play in conferences where if you have 1 loss but won the league you're going to make the playoff most years

Assuming that the playoffs expand to 8+ in the next few years, I don't think we will see any new teams make the 4-team field.

Texas A&M
Penn St.
North Carolina

Teams with momentum on the recruiting trail and maybe one day can close the gap enough to take the conf. title from the top dog in their conference

Texas A&M
Penn State
Florida

My top 3. If it goes to a 12-team playoff, I may change my lineup dramatically.

I would say that's a pretty good bet in terms of teams who haven't and who are regularly good. I would say a team like Auburn or A&M could have a chance. Other options would be Penn State, maybe Wisconsin.

This plays a major factor in the decision. Teams like Cincinnati have no shot in the 4-team model but would probably get in easy in the 12-team format.

I can see another B1G team sneaking in this year if Ohio State continues to falter. Iowa and Penn State are good options.

I think it is actually going to be a PAC or ACC team. Not saying it will be this year, but an undefeated conf champ that catches Clemson on a down year could easily get in. VTech or Virginia. Same in the PAC, a UCLA or AZ St could run off a conf champ and get in. I think that is more likely in the next couple of years than someone getting out of the SEC or B1G unscathed and with a championship to get in.

Updated list of every CFP team, ever (I think):

Alabama
Cincinnati
Clemson
Florida State
Georgia
LSU
Michigan
Michigan State
Notre Dame
Ohio State
Oklahoma
Oregon
TCU
Washington
