Who's the most overrated coach in CFB?

You can dismiss their expectations, but he has clearly came up well short of them.

Oh, I agree. These issues have been a consistent theme over the course of Franklin's tenure.

HC’s often get too much credit when their team wins a nat’l title or two, imo.

Clem had all of the following during their entire run: a superhuman QB, loads of talent on both O & D, Venables at DC.

None of which they have now. Dabo also still hasn’t adjusted to the whole NIL/transfer porta-potty thing.


But it doesn’t bother me that Mac Brown, Lincoln Riley, James Franklin, etc are also called overrated.

Dabo won 10+ games for 12 straight seasons. he also has six wins in CFB Playoff games. Dabo is the HC and he gets full credit for having a superhuman QB + loads of talent on both sides of the ball. That is the HC's job. It is also his job to make sure he surrounds himself with the best possible staff and he did that for a long time. and he did all of this at Clemson.
 
No one with a natty is overrated, not when Matt Rhule and Lane Kiffin are coaching in CFB.

Lane Kiffin is at Ole Miss and he has them ranked in the top 10.. what has he done to be considered overrated??

Shit play calls in this game and when they finally get a TD they go for 2 and leave points off the board with a predictable miss.

Franklin has been doing really dumb things like this for years now.
