Morning folks.

Ham pitched last night. Didn't throw many strikes, but it was a marked improvement from last season's pitching outing. Still have 3 kids left to get on the hill before the end of the season, and I need to get some of my more regular pitchers some work too. Our kids did have the two longest hits of the day, so that was nice.

The 2 or so years when they're first out of coach pitch are fucking miserable.

I'm coaching my daughter's softball team, and this is the last year of coach pitch. I'm dreading all the walks.
 
waiting for IT to get here to reimage my machine, which at this point is starting to seem like I should just go home afterwards based on how long they said the process would take. very productive week.

Yeah, last year was modified coach pitch, this is the first season for most of my kids of no coach pitch at all. And we're in a 10-11 division, as a mostly 10 year old team. We look like a team full of kids playing their first season of no coach pitch.

congrats on your signature meaning more and potentially being held accountable for something going wrong :)

but seriously, good job! I never had the need to pursue my PE but I tell any young engineers in my industry that it might not get them much outside of a little bump in pay, it's a worthwhile endeavor to go after.
 
See if weather holds off or if we get rained out again for Coach Pitch. I wouldn't mind getting rained out & not rescheduled for this one. Means the longest trips would not be made. We can play the rest of them as they'll be in the closest 2 towns.

Yeah we'll see if I ever use it any time soon. I'll sit down with my boss and have the conversation with him sometime soon. In the meantime, I did get a solid bonus which comes in handy with the new house coming up.

morning all, in the office today. Ready to go home

Found a new dog sitter for dogs for our trip to montreal, nice to have that done
 
cool rainy day and i'm trying to find a place that does a lobster bisque, didn't think it would be this challenging.

did find a place that has a roasted red pepper and gouda bisque that has piqued my interest.
 
well, reimage hasn't started yet. guy said they'll do it remotely, which makes sense as long as you don't question why they bothered to come to the office. gonna head out and get some of the tiniest wings in the land.

welp looks like I have to head to Atlanta in August for an INPO meeting instead of Oswego, NY.

the Brewers will be playing the Braves so at least I will be able to check out Truist Field
