Before we even barely get to see it in action... I have not read this with a fine tooth comb. It might not even be true, but here goes:

Summarization would be greatly appreciated. Are they looking to expand it to 16 teams or reduce it since there is just 4 conferences now?

Now is a good time to go back to 4 team playoffs

It is a pretty short article. The part that struck me was saying that the SEC and B1G could land 8 of the 12 spots if we are talking 12 best teams. I could see that being true.

Just remember before anything is changed, a majority of the 10 confs + independent (ND) have to agree

Automatic Qualifiers seems to be the issue.

Have to correct that.

The thing i don't get people been saying they wouldn't deserve a spot. But you can't tell me an undefeated or 1 loss team for example that beats the other 3 pac teams boise, sandiego st, fresno, tulane, memphis, and whoever else would be less deserving than a mac or cusa champ who are eligible under the same stipulation. If who ever joins were good enough in the other conferences why wouldn't they be in this one

Because when your season is full of games vs CAL, Stanford, Wazzu, Fresno and Tulane, you really aren't as deserving as someone who plays Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Penn State, USC, UCLA, washington. Leave the playoff more available to 2-3 loss B1G and SEC teams who have gauntlets of a schedule to go through as opposed to whatever the PAC becomes.

the stipulation was top 6 ranked conference champions.
If all the conference fall under the stipulation including MAC, CUSA the new AAC without Cinci, Houston and UCF then a conference comprised of 4 prior P5 schools top ranked schools from the MWC and AAC who have been in BCS/NY6 bowls then yeah I see no reason why that champion couldnt be one of the top ranked teams.

also the likelihood any 1 team has to play all 7 of those teams in 1 season is low.
