Maybe she is, but speaking of dumb shit weather people do, naming winter storms has to be up there at the top of the list.
Seriously, since when are winter storms in the same category (please just overlook that pun, I'm too lazy to think of a synonym for "category" to avoid it) as Hurricanes?
And while we're at it, if they're going to be idiotic enough to name winter storms, couldn't they come up with something a little more formidable sounding than ... Heather?

The National Weather Service does not name winter storms, nor do they recognize naming them.
Naming winter storms was started by The Weather Channel for the drama.
I'll be dead in the cold, cold ground before I recognize the Weather Channel's winter storm naming convention.

I never stopped to wonder whence the naming came, but it's actually good to learn the National Weather Service doesn't participate in that nonsense.
