Wizard of Oz to Get LGBTQ-Inclusive, Racially Diverse Remake

Had TheWiz, where a tornado touches down in Harlem or some such shit, but I guess not good enough since nohomo.
 
Wicked was a very good book...I think it kicked off the idea of telling a story from a different perspective, which I think is a pretty cool idea.

whether the remake of the original musical is any good, I guess we will see.
 
The level of offended people get over remakes going with diversity in the cast is just bizarre.

I'm not offended, but I do think the notion that everything needs to be remade gayer to "reflect where the world is now" is ridiculous. There are what, eight main characters in Wizard of Oz? Based on the percentage of gay folks in the US, should any of those eight characters be gay?

I have no problem with gay people, I just don't think we need that lifestyle shoehorned into all of our entertainment, particularly those produced as children's programs.

Odds are, through your life, you will meet a gay person.

Why not just let them have representation in media?

This is just someone retelling Oz...no big deal.

If you don't want to watch it, don't watch it
