Did you know?

The northern-most part of the US mainland is apparently in MN. Some hole-in-the-wall called Angle Inlet.

So it’s not Maine then. I thought wrong.
It’s actually about if 45 minute drive through Canada to get there (it’s reachable by boat when the ice melts).

The Angle became part of the US due to an oversight: during the 1783 Treaty of Paris, the border drawn between the US and what was then British territory was designed to cut through the Lake of the Woods area at a northwest angle, but the map they used misrepresented the lake's location.

Wavy brick walls use less bricks than straight brick walls?

That's because a straight fence that is just one brick thick is not sturdy enough to stand alone and can be easily toppled with a determined push. For that reason straight fences always have a thickness of at least two layers of bricks and often more, and are also reinforced at regular intervals with vertical posts serving as buttresses.

But a wavy "one-brick" fence stands just fine on its own due to the arch support provided by its shape, which combines both fence and buttress.

Refrigerators are magnetic because Kids used to die in them!

Well, apparently, refrigerators weren’t always magnetic… It is no secret that kids think that the refrigerator is a good place to hide, especially in a game of hide and seek. But before 1956, once someone way in the refrigerator, there was no way for them to get out unless someone opened the door. And that is why they are now magnetic…
