What’s the worst “great” song ever?

Most overrated shit ever. All these guys trying to say it was "heavy shit, man." They've already said it was meaningless.

When I hear the first couple of bars of that song, I plug my ears.

"Imagine" and "Hotel California" are like the 2021 Mike Trout and 2021 David Fletcher of shitty songs. They're equally valuable in Shittiness Above Replacement but "Imagine" used fewer minutes/ABs to generate that shittiness. You can listen to "Imagine" twice with almost 30 seconds left over to puke between your legs in the time it takes to listen to "Hotel California".

edit: so it is not confusing, on this scale being compared to Mike Trout makes the song shittier, not less shitty. It is still confusing :laugh:

Hotel California isn’t on my playlist, but if I’m listening to terrestrial radio, I can tolerate it. Not so much with Imagine

Oh they are both a hard pass for me every single time I would say. But yeah, I agree that "Imagine" is worse.
 
Anything Whitney Houston.

You can throw Celine Dion in there as well.

Nothing about their songs is great.

Seriously though, I like his guitar style and songwriting. He covers some pretty dark content. The drummer is a fucking beast, too.

I think he gets a bad rap because of the songs Crash Into Me and Satellite. I'm not a big fan of Crash and I dislike Satellite.

I just looked it up. Springsteen had 5 albums before the launch of MTV. All 5 at minimum went platinum. I’m not the dude’s biggest fan, but MTV definitely didn’t make him
