Obviously, you have issues with reading comprehension because I stated Alabama has the hardest pod and that I disagreed with SI.

Because this isn’t what everyone else calls “pods.” This is what is called the permanent rival model. I prefer it over pods. Also, as pointed out above, several obvious games have been missed. Whoever did this, didn’t do a very good job of it.

Let’s not forget that SI doesn’t necessarily mean the national magazine. There are tons of local SI people who are simply affiliated with them, and often not too bright.

Auburn hates Florida because the gators have superior shades of orange/blue. The War Tiger colors are terrible.

Let's see your list and see how you would do.

It's a lot harder than you think and I've seen a bunch of list and the SI guy did it about as well as anyone. The probably is that most people that would do a list have a bias and that causes its own set of problems.

Oh and you are wrong again because what I think matters tremendously.

I think the point is that that is a guaranteed two losses almost every year. At least at the level of current talent and competition. It’s sort of like Tennessee having to play Alabama, Georgia, and Florida every year. They’re almost guaranteed three losses the minute the season starts. The Vanderbilt game simply softens the blow for them.

Whatever method they choose in determining who plays who in this new format, I hope Florida and Auburn play every year. Most people don’t understand that that rivalry is actually one that goes way back. I grew up a Gator, and that was always one of our most hated rivalries.

Auburn's true rivals are Bama, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee in that order. We should have been put in the East with Bama being our cross-over. It's a shame we weren't and unfortunately, that ship has sailed more than likely.

According to a number of articles, the idea of pods, where four teams play a round robin, is not the favored solution. Three permanent rivalries for each team is the preferred solution as it provides better TV inventory, and maintains more of the important historical and geographical rivalries. Having each team play three permanent rivals, and then expanding to nine games means that you play every team at least every other year. Again, this provides for superior TV inventory, and a better fan experience. Sankey has spoken out in favor of this at some level.

Isn’t having three permanent opponents basically a 4 team pod?

Pods are the same 4 teams playing each other, round robin. Permanent rivals means everyone plays 3 different other teams. Pods are 4 groups of 4. Permanent rivals means all 16 teams will have different teams in their group of 3 teams they play.
 
I wonder why everyone thinks Missouri and Oklahoma need to be in the same Pod.
It's ridiculous.

Nobody wants to see that game. Oklahoma fans sure don't, and Missouri fans are tired of getting kicked in the balls.
Been there done that.

When you are looking for more 'eyeballs' and 'best games possible', then Missouri is not the answer to this.

Sounds like a 4 team pod either way.

If I’m Auburn and I play UGA, Bama and Vandy every year then that’s a 4 team pod. If you rotate another 4 SEC school for an 8 conference game schedule then it’s still a pod.

If walks like a pod, smells like a pod and sounds like a pod then it’s a pod.
