Kinda the point. He is in isolation, working at a packing plant, not keeping up with his training. All while keeping watch on one of the most important targets in the empire and avoid his former brothers and sisters who have thrown in with the bad guy.what is it about Jedi bring massive quitters. Obi Wan is just like sequel Luke. He’s looking after kid Luke but is so rusty in the force that he can barely fight off normal opponents.
Yeah but what good is it if he’s unable to fend them off.Kinda the point. He is in isolation, working at a packing plant, not keeping up with his training. All while keeping watch on one of the most important targets in the empire and avoid his former brothers and sisters who have thrown in with the bad guy.
What a great first couple of episodes
Yes, Leia is annoying but that's the point. You can easily see Anakin and Padme in her, especially their Clone Wars versions. And Leia was already sassy in IV so it makes sense why she would be that was as a kid.
At the very least I just hope everyone is better towards kid her and Luke's actors than towards Jake Lloyd.

Luke lost his faith in the “light side”. And he never really received a proper full training. He was a Master because, well, he was the only Jedi left in the Galaxy. He tried to reestablish the order, and he failed miserably. Luke, end of the day, was a failure of a Jedi.I was fine with them making Obi-Wan this considering everything he's lost since Episode I while probably feeling at least some responsibility and failure. It's making Luke that way that was the issue, Obi-Wan might be that exhausted old hermit but he at least seems to remember his mission whereas Luke just straight gave up.
How about Han Solo?I posted something similar to this a number of years back, but I think it is a fun exercise…
The top characters in the SW franchise (based on import to the story/import to the in-franchise galaxy)…
1) Anakin (The Chosen One. He brought the prophesied “balance” to the Force as he abolished both the Jedi and the Sith.)
2) Palpatine (Not only was he one of the most powerful Sith Lords ever, he was also the Emporor of the Galaxy and MAYBE Anakin’s father.)
3) Luke (The perceived “Chosen One” after Anakin’s turn to the Dark Side by those who believed “balance” meant “my side wins entirely”.)
4) Yoda (The last leader of the Jedi Council. Supervised Anakin’s training and “finished” Luke’s training. As a Force Ghost, he may have preserved the Jedi literature from Luke’s destructive intent)
5) Ahsoka (Her break from the Jedi Order may ultimately be the saving act of the Light Side. She recognized that strict adherence to either Light or Dark is dangerous, and balance should be internal. She may ultimately end up usurping Anakin as the true Chosen One)
6) Leia (She succeeded Mon Mothma as the leader of the resistance. She was also a very strong Force user, but never received extensive training)
7) JarJar (Was the driving force allowing Palpatine to take control of the Imperial Senate and ultimately become Emporor. I still believe he was the true Phantom Menace, and likely Palpatine‘s true apprentice)
Everyone else is in a substantially lower tier than these characters. But there is a huge drop off between Palpatine and Luke, imho.
I think he would rank right behind “8th Clone soldier on left”How about Han Solo?
No love for Han Solo?I think he would rank right behind “8th Clone soldier on left”
What did he do?No love for Han Solo?
Didn’t get a medal for the Battle of Yavin.
