I know the Oakland A's are certainly the most likely team to move and seems like if they do move it'll be to Las Vegas, but curious what other teams could potentially move? The Baltimore Orioles apparently have some family infighting that hinted at potentially moving the team to Nashville. I think Nashville would be a great spot for an MLB team, but not the Orioles. However it got me thinking, besides the A's, who's the next likely team to move? Is the obvious choice actually the Rays to Nashville?

Nashville doesn't deserve a baseball team

Don't know about that. Nashville seems like the Vegas of the South. It's a growing city, fans are very engaged so whoever moves there will be supported. College baseball is big in Tennessee with the Vols and Commodores. I just hope whatever team moves to Nashville they put Nashville (Team Name) as opposed to Tennessee (Team name).

If they can support hockey in Nashville, they can most definitely support MLB.

A's to Portland
Rays to Montreal
Marlins to Havana
A's are not going to Portland. Portland is a dumpster now, I even think the Portland Diamond Project is done, who was the major push to get MLB to Portland. But I think it was last Summer someone with the MLB was supposed to visit Portland and look over the proposed sites and ended up cancelling the trip. Portland doesn't deserve an MLB team.

Metro Nashville is smaller than both Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham. In fact, it is closer in size to Greensboro/Winston-Salem than either of those areas.

Fuck Nashville and fuck anyone who wants to break up Braves country to put a team in Tennessee.

If the A's move, would they be the first LB franchise to move 4 times?

Philly to KC to Oakland to Portland/Vegas?

Rams and Raiders have moved 4 times in the NFL

Nashville is supporting an NHL team, Atlanta couldn't. Sorry, but if I had to relocate a team in that region Nashville is where I look first.

Braves: Boston->Milwaukee->Atlanta->Cobb County
A's: Philadelphia->KC->Oakland->Vegas/Portland

Neither does Oakland.
Oakland A's have been around for a decent chunk of time, they have also had a lot of success. Move to a better stadium and I bet they get the crowd to show up like they deserve.

supporting an NHL team has nothing to do with supporting a baseball team, lil man.

162 games versus 82 games
40k seats vs 20k seats

and "support" has so much to do with fan support. The Thrashers fucking sucked. When the Predators suck, they tend to be near the bottom of the league in attendance.

Most MLB teams don't get over 25k in seats throughout the regular season. Right now if I turn on an MLB game, unless it's the Cardinals, Red Sox, Cubs and maybe Yankees, you don't see many seats filled up.

Also if the Rays go to Nashville, they will get a ton of support for the first 2-3 years because they are new in town, but then those fans are likely to stay around because the Rays are good and a competitive team.

If they move to Nashville, then they will turn back into the Devil Rays

Tennessee is a state of losers and its citizens should never forget that.

Braves are near the top in average attendance. One of the few teams to already be above a million in attendance this season

A's to Omaha then.
