Scenario Villiage SEC Schedule Style

unlike you pencil dicks who are clutching your anal pearls about matchups.. We don't care, we'll whip all of y'all anyway

If they are doing three permanent opponents, here is who I got:

Alabama: Auburn, Mississippi State, Tennessee

Arkansas: LSU, Texas, Missouri

Auburn: Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss

Florida: Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina

Georgia: Auburn, Florida, South Carolina

Kentucky: Florida, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt

LSU: Arkansas, Ole Miss, Texas A&M

Missouri: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi State

Ole Miss: Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State

Mississippi State: Alabama, Ole Miss, Missouri

Oklahoma: Missouri, Texas, Texas A&M

South Carolina: Florida, Georgia, Vanderbilt

Tennessee: Alabama, Kentucky, Vanderbilt

Texas: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M

Texas A&M: LSU, Oklahoma, Texas

Vanderbilt: Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee

This keeps the most rivals and balance. The only team that really has a brutal lineup is Texas A&M on this list.

Alabama-Mississippi State would be a lighter game from Alabama and is actually one of the longest played series in the SEC as the two schools are not far apart. This was one of the major changes on the list.

Not that I think this is better, but here’s a TWO PERM rival scheme:

TEXAS: OU and TAMU
OU: TX and MIZZOU
TAMU: TEXAS and MISS ST
AUBURN: BAMA and UGA
UGA: AUBURN and FLORIDA
LSU: BAMA and OLE MISS
MIZZOU: OU and ARKANSAS
ARKANSAS: MIZZOU and KENTUCKY
OLE MISS: MISS ST and TAMU
MISS ST: OLE MISS and TAMU
KENTUCKY: TENN and ARKANSAS
TENNESSEE: VANDY and KENTUCKY
VANDY: TENN and SCAR
BAMA: LSU and AUBURN
SCAR: FLORIDA and VANDY
FLORIDA: UGA and SCAR

Bama, UGA, and Auburn aren't agreeing with that. You have to put ATM, UT, and OU in a round-robin if you are going to go for 2 and give Bama, UGA, and Auburn those schedules. LSU v. UF. Toughen up UTjr. Now we might be able to talk.

You’re just comparing the two rivals to other sets of rivals.
There are still 10 other games to play on the schedule.
You’re making a mountain out of a molehill. Plus, teams’ strengths change over time.

So Auburn gets Alabama, Georgia and Ole Miss while Tenn gets Alabama, Vandy and Ky.

That sounds fair.

A 2 team schedule is not even on the table but thanks for trying.

I get your point ... I've made it here ... that if you have an easier permanent series, your rotating series is tougher, and if your permanent series is harder your rotating series is easier. To some degree, that's true. But a team getting Bama and UGA every year pretty much starts 0-2 every year, at least for now.

I have no problem with the idea that you have a top 8 and a bottom 8. The top 8 should play each other. And the bottom 8 should play each other. The schedule you propose actually does that for your team - kudos to you - but lets OU and TAMU off the hook. They shouldn't get a annual bottom 8 game.

Top 8: AU, UA, LSU, UGA, ATM, OU, UT, UF
Bottom 8: MSU, OM, KY, USCjr, VU, UM, UTjr, Arky

You could switch UTjr and AU and it wouldn't matter.

Top 8:
UT: OU and ATM
ATM: OU and UT
OU: ATM and UT
AU: UA and UGA
UGA: UF and AU
UA: LSU and AU
LSU: UF and UA
UF: UGA and LSU

Bottom 8: Don't really care, but let's go:
VU: UTjr and OM
KY: Mizzou and UTjr
OM: MSU and VU
MSU: OM and USCjr
Arky: Mizzou and USCjr
USCjr: MSU and Arky
Mizzou: KY and Arky
UTjr: VU and KY

Alabama and Georgia are both your historic rivals. That is why I assume Ole Miss.

You are not getting away from Alabama and Georgia unfortunately. It is better than the other tables that had you playing Alabama, Florida, and Georgia in this thread.

Why pick on me when others had worse lineups?
