WTF is the World Cup..and how is this going to F with my damn traffic???

Apparently Vancouver gets 5 games. You stand a decent shot at finding tickets for at least one of those games.

Vancouver would be at my place pretty sure I’m gonna give it a shot
I will be 64 in 2026. Son is an airline pilot. Us 2 plan to hop using his and parent flight benefits to get to as many games as possible as long as Germany lives. Ticket prices be damned!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sister in law lives in Jersey so we stay there when Germany in final there.

NJ and Philly selected. Hoping USMNT is in one of those venues. Final probably going to be at MetLife, too.

You're not getting anything except games like Nigeria vs. Bulgaria.

I’ll be 71 and retired for two years. I won’t care about ticket prices but I bet you that they do them in a lottery up here. It’ll be the only fair way because otherwise ticket gobblers will buy them up

I am assuming Canada, Mexico, USA group games in their home countries. Canada is not going to Mexico for a game. Conflict comes if these 3 teams meet in a knockout game. Where will that be played?

I don't even watch soccer and I'm still upset Chicago didn't get one. Going to a World Cup game, even if two random countries, is a generation experience.

Fuck you Soldier Field.
True. I have only seen in person one international team play in my life. At the Oakland Coliseum in 1972. The Brazil National Team vs a Mexican Club Team. That Brazil team is considered the greatest in history. Two years after they won 1970 World Cup. Pele played that day. Place was completely sold out. A riot broke out down the 1st base line where all the Mexican fans were. My dad, I, and my Opa sat down the 3rd base line. Still have vivid memories of that. I was 10. No doubt I am going to games in 2026. USA too if I can, but saving my money for Germany.

A couple weeks ago I was leaving the Soldier Field area right as all the Mexican and Ecuadorian fans were arriving for their friendly. Whole half mile stretch down to the train station was absolutely packed with fans. Really cool to see. And that was just for a friendly.

Still mad I didn’t find a way to go when I was in 8th grade and they had real grass for a game at the Silverdome.

I had tickets for the Gold Cup final in '15 in Philly until the US choked against Jamaica. Wound up scalping them and going to the 3rd place game instead.

Fuck Klinsmann.

lol @sawker.

It's cool when the team Moms pass out the orange wedges during the breaks though.
