Interesting College Football Facts...

Since the start of the AP football poll (1936) - Michigan has won 2 national championships and 1 they split.

Illinois and Wisconsin played the last tie game in college football in 1995 3-3
Oregon and Oregon state played the last scoreless tie game in 1983

I think it was 1932 Brown's opponents had 0 losses on the day they played Brown. Only time it ever happened.

I believe it was Brown. Will have to find ithat stat again.

Here is why I was thinking that team. And that Colgate team they lost to was the first one to go undefeated, untied, and unscored on in CFB history.

Georgia hasn't won their conference in 5 years.

GT’s campus was the site of the official olympic athlete village for the Atlanta Summer Olympics in 1996.

You can also see the Special Olympics perform at Bobby Dodd Stadium on various Saturdays in the fall.

Yeah, six Saturdays every fall we host those same Olympics in the Sun Bowl.

We had swimming nationals at Emory in 1996 and we saw signs all over the city where you could rent out your house for like $1000/day during the Olympics

The 1939 Tennessee team was the last team to go through the regular season undefeated and unscored on.

However, they did lose their Bowl Game 14-0 (although several key players on the team didn't even make that trip due to how Bowl Games were seen more as fun exhibitions back then rather than actual games).

Yale has the most National Titles in College Football at 18. (Yale owns all of you :)).

Edit: Sorry late to the game with Tennessee. See it was discussed ad nauseum. I should have read more than the first page.

Autzen Stadium for the University of Oregon is named for an Oregon State alum
Martin Stadium for Washington State is named for an alum of the University of Washington

The Alabama versus Auburn game, which I believe is a top-five rivalry game in all of college football.

Those two teams quit playing each other in 1907 and did not resume the game until 40 years later over at $34 contract dispute.

With players given an extra season with COVID, not sure if it is true anymore.

Iowa's Chuck Long is the only player to play in 5 bowl games.

Hayden Fry accepted the coaching position at a terrible Iowa program after attending a game and seeing how the fans reacted to Iowa getting a first down. He was curious to figure out how they would react to scoring a touchdown.
