A roof beam? You mean a ceiling beam that's all covered by roof? You're insane. I can't dig a hole in the ceiling for this - i'm already gonna gouge the sheetrock all to hellA roof beam would work fine.
Wrap a lifting strap around the beam and hook it to the strap, then crank that bitch into place
Then what’s a little more patchwork?A roof beam? You mean a ceiling beam that's all covered by roof? You're insane. I can't dig a hole in the ceiling for this - i'm already gonna gouge the sheetrock all to hell![]()
Just make sure you find a stud....I already fucked up the drywall with the one I put up a few years ago so i'm not too concerned about that. The only thing i'm really freaked out about is that it will fall. The new one is 75" and nearly 100lbs, I think. Maybe 80's. I dunno.
Also, couldn’t you just lure in some poor guy to hang the tv for you and then kick him out when he’s done?A roof beam? You mean a ceiling beam that's all covered by roof? You're insane. I can't dig a hole in the ceiling for this - i'm already gonna gouge the sheetrock all to hell![]()
Yeah- it could come through the slider, right? That's like... 3 feet wide? Then what’s a little more patchwork?
But there’s other ways. Are your windows big enough to maneuver a man lift bucket through? You could go rent a man lift from Home Depot. They are self leveling and the controls are self explanatory
They hook to a hitch and you tow em, but I was fucking around. Don’t do that. Even if the bucket could fit in, you wouldn’t be able to maneuver the boom without causing a lot of damage once insideYeah- it could come through the slider, right? That's like... 3 feet wide?
But my local home depot burned down a few weeks ago. Can I drive it on the street or does it need to be on a trailer?
Just make sure you find a stud....
*visibly in pain withholding jokes*
It's gonna cost me a pizza which is a lot cheaper than murder/rape, I've heard. Also, couldn’t you just lure in some poor guy to hang the tv for you and then kick him out when he’s done?
Like I said, I'm fucking up the sheetrock anyway. They hook to a hitch and you tow em, but I was fucking around. Don’t do that. Even if the bucket could fit in, you wouldn’t be able to maneuver the boom without causing a lot of damage once inside
I am sure of thatLike I said, I'm fucking up the sheetrock anyway.

I also don’t trust you to not fall out of the bucket when it’s up in the air. I’m about to call every Home Depot in NorCal and tell them to not rent a man lift to youLike I said, I'm fucking up the sheetrock anyway.

I put up the first one by myself. It's only a 48" I think, so not heavy, but I got 3/4 of the way through putting up the mount and it just got too fucking hard, so i partly hammered one of the screws in. Gonna look like someone took a sledgehammer to it when i remove the existing shit.I am sure of that
I need it to be above the fireplace. Can't watch TV from my bed if I put it on the other wall and my place is too small to have 2 tvs. I don't even turn this one on every day so why would I have 2??This is going nowhere fast. Just put the fucking thing on a stand or return it.
Can you drive from the bucket? I thought this was a 2-man thing. The person on the ground swizzling you around and the person in the bucket, trying not to fall out?I also don’t trust you to not fall out of the bucket when it’s up in the air. Get a bigger house.I need it to be above the fireplace. Can't watch TV from my bed if I put it on the other wall and my place is too small to have 2 tvs. I don't even turn this one on every day so why would I have 2??
