Do I have to do research on a tv mounting bracket or can I just get whatever the kid at costco tells me to get? The sony one is like, $350. Can't remember the price of the one at Costco, but I'm pretty sure it was less than half that.

Just get a TV stand with a bracket. Otherwise you could screw up the drywall/studs.

Trust me on this.

Fuckin commie bolshevik bastards raised my property assessment for next year by $200,000!!!
Damn, fuck fuck FUCK!!!

Time to sell and move again to seek asylum from these taxes. Texas and the dry ass southwest are out of the question. I might have to tolerate a state income tax, but I'm sure I could get more bang for the buck for a new house and lot size. Maybe I should buy and build.

Shit. Motherfuckers. Fuck.

North or South Carolina? Tennessee? Someplace not to red-necky and hell and the fuck no to cold ass weather states.

For me, the assessment doesn't have as much to do with the taxes they charge, but it does help boost the resale value. It's mostly businesses that pay the lion's share of property taxes

The effective property tax rate here is about .93%, which means my tax bill jumps $1860. Goddamn thieves.

Have you melted, yet?
When it's in the 90's in some places in the city - triple digits in a few spots (Portrero Hill) - I can't even imagine what San Jose is like.
It's days like this I can understand people living in the Sunset.
Getting close! I was okay this morning (and gave all the outdoor plants a good soaking early), then I had to go to the office so I went outside and... UGH! It was 103. Gross.

I already fucked up the drywall with the one I put up a few years ago so i'm not too concerned about that. The only thing i'm really freaked out about is that it will fall. The new one is 75" and nearly 100lbs, I think. Maybe 80's. I dunno.

You've just convinced yourself to go wth a stand and bracket for much more stability. 100 lbs on studs is dicey. You could also fuck up the TV when it falls.

Then the Triangle region of NC, or outskirts of Nashville. But, then you'll have to pay more for the real estate

Having sold houses in Cali, and WA and now another one in WA, I'm cool. My thinking now is to buy land and build so I don't have to pay someone else's inflated fucking equity.

In fact, dump the bracket. A 75" on a swivel bracket is probably a non-starter.

Get a stand. If you can't see it from an angle in your place, say the kitchen, get a second smaller TV that you can see.

Haven't spent much time in the Sunset. Used to have some friends who lived in Inner Richmond but they're long gone. And of course, an old girlfriend lived in NoBe

Not much reason to, at least in my experience.
An old bf used to live on 40th.
I hated going to his place.
Just walking from the car was miserable ... windy and cold af, even in the middle of summer.
With as hot as much of the city got today, the outer sunset was in the 70's/low 80/s.

Yeah, triple digits can fuck right off!

They make them for even bigger sets! my issue is that mine will go on the wall above the fireplace so who knows what I'll be anchoring it to! I could put it on a stand on another wall, but I really don't want to. I'm gonna be really bummed if it crashes to the ground after all the time it took me to finally pull the trigger on buying a new one
