The 21st Century all bust team

The Rangers had "DVD". John Danks, Edison Volquez, and someone Diamond. The only thing good any of them did was get us Josh.
Volquez had a solid career. Danks had a good run as a starter in Chicago IIRC. I remember a Scott Diamond that had one decent season for the Twins

Lars Anderson!

Holy fuck I forgot all about him. He's a better 1B choice than Loney for sure, his peak ranking was higher (although Loney was ranked for longer) and his MLB career was pretty much nothing.

I completely forgot that dude ever existed before I saw that post.

I don’t see how many of these guys are busts.

But I get the need to be edgy for some.

Jesus Montero is the catcher

Byron Buxton TBD.

Could be a hall of famer or a bust still.

that's pretty bold considering he's played 503 games over eight seasons to varying degrees of success. He's got 17.5 WAR, which is great for only about 3 full seasons worth of games but he would need to play at a very high level in his 30's... and stay healthy.

At least Loney had a few average seasons under his belt. Lars was pretty underwhelming after 2008 and it just seemed to unravel with his second stint in AA.

Tim Beckham
Josh Vitters
Tanner Scheppers
Justin Smoak
Brett Wallace
Jon Singleton (remember when they extended him as a rookie?)
Kyle Drabek
Danny Hultzen

Mark Appel made his big league debut last night. Does he count for this thread now?
