Honestly, no one who remembers the bad blood is still alive. The truth is you don't have anything to offer. UGA already has the Atlanta market, and the Nerd market just isn't that big. Tough love!

I ran some numbers and 22 makes more sense. 3-6-6-6 works ... 3 permanent rivals, 6 other teams every third year.

If I were a USC fan, I wouldn’t be happy. Only conference mate not two time zones or more away is UCLA. Nothing within driving distance for a weekend trip. Just for me as a UGA fan, Florida, SCar, Tennessee, Vandy, Kentucky, Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss and Mississippi State are close enough to make a weekend trip out of an away game without needing a plane ticket. LSU is borderline, I made a weekend trip out of New Orleans, but that was a little too far for such a quick turnaround

If we are just heading for two 20-24 team superconferences then the SEC and B1G need another 4-8 each. Which 8-16 teams are attractive enough to warrant such courting? Kansas/Duke hoops? Clem/FSU/Miami? Can't see South Cackalacky and Florida liking that but it is a new day.

I know, and I wish I didn't have to say it. I have a ton of friends who went to Tech or had kids that went there. It's a great school academically, but it's never going to come back to an athletic status. I say this as a Vandy undergrad. I get what it's like to be irrelevant in CFB.

It's OK I suppose. We did it to ourselves twice. Once leaving the SEC and again 10 years ago by not accepting the invite to the B1G. The powers that be on The Hill don't give a damn about sports - never have, never will.

I've been more and more involved with Ole Miss these past 4 years with 4 more to go. So I at least have SOMETHING good to pull for.

That weekend trip will be replaced by a 65 - 75 inch 4K TV... and sushi delivery.

I can't stand sushi... I'm simply speculating on the future football viewing rituals of the La-La folks.

As for me up here in the Great Lakes... give me lots of BBQ, and Detroit Style pizza, plus some honey bourbon spiked iced tea for football viewing.
