2023 Recruiting Thread

Nice get. He was an ND lean forever, but we couldn't close the deal back in the spring. Would have been nice to have him and Carr in the same QB room. Hopefully Carr is ready to go in 2025.
Hope he reclassifies because we had no plan B this cycle. It was Dante Moore or bust.

Keep it going. This is great. Say more bad things.

Cool. Another one you expected to get. That leaves 4 other guys left that you're leading for. I also said you'd probably finish 20-25 because I knew you had guys that were going to commit.

I don't think he will. But if Buchner is good, he'll play in 22, 23 and 24, and Carr will start in 25. Just gotta hope he lives up to his potential.

This is where the whole “it’s July” thing comes in.

48th per 247.

...at least we're higher than Texas A&M?

Sure. But typically a program like Michigan would be going from 25 to the top 10/12. Not from 50 to 25 at this point. You're going to get others, but you're not going to finish where you normally do. If you finish top 20, id be surprised at this point, unless you fill out with a bunch of 3 stars, and sign like 30 kids.

Take a look at this list Michigan 2023 Football Prospects

You're projected to get only 2 more 4 stars at this point.

I think we’re like 2-3 recruits away from where we normally would be right now.

Put it this way. There’s 1 team ahead of Michigan with only 10 recruits in the class. It’s Alabama at 17.

You're also 25th in average recruiting rank, which isn't good, considering you only have two more 4 stars that are projected to commit.

but but... you guys won't be able to land transfers from Rutgers

those are the real difference makers!
Sucks knowing there is no future here. Who’s going to replace everyone leaving?

This completes the flip from Michigan:

Fuck all the Moore's. In all seriousness, he was an ND lean forever. Big get for OSU. This one stings. Dude has a ton of potential. Reminds me of Chase Young, only a little skinnier

3 days 3 commitments
