How the hell would you know?9 game conference schedules suck though.
No team playing a 9 game conference schedule has won a natty in the playoff era. B1G was still playing 8 games when OSU wonHow the hell would you know?
Neat, that still doesn’t mean playing a 9 game conference schedule sucks, Mr My Team Has Never Played a 9 game conference schedule. No team playing a 9 game conference schedule has won a natty in the playoff era. B1G was still playing 8 games when OSU won
It eliminates you from natty contention before the season even startsNeat, that still doesn’t mean playing a 9 game conference schedule sucks, Mr My Team Has Never Played a 9 game conference schedule.![]()

For the SEC, Clemson, Oklahoma State and FSU are far more valuable in today's economic model. Miami and UNC are neck and neck, tied for 4th.I still think UNC is going to be a very popular and heavily fought over brand. Ironically, all the rumors are that UNC wants to keep ACC together and likes current arrangement but they have explored options because, like everyone, they don't want to be left behind.
I agree with you in the fact that the costs to get them now is not there but I think UNC, FSU, and maybe a few others will be worth grabbing once the ACC GOR is gone. Clemson and FSU are popular because they tend to have strong fan following even when they are not good. Basically both have SEC-like fanbases. This is why Miami is further down the list despite having more titles and stronger history than both Clemson and FSU. Miami just doesn't have that fan following to make them profitable (granted if they got good again, that could change).
I agree though that 10-12 years is a long time and a lot could change.
A meme I've seen making the circuit is that the SEC and B1G could grow to the size where they then break into divisions called the PAC, B12, B1G, ACC and the SEC. LOL.Interestingly, I always wondered that if the SEC got a ton of teams, they could break them into separate divisions that resemble past conferences (like an ACC and Big12 division) and we have a smaller number of matchups with the other divisions and kind of restore the old SEC prior to expansions.
16 provides much better matchups, so long as you have the right 16. The 3-6-6 format creates an unreal number of great games which is good for TV and the fans. The fact that we are going to get to play Bama, LSU, ATM, OU, and TX every other year is awesome.12 is the perfect number to me. You can play an 8 game conference schedule and not go a million years without facing certain conference members. Just need to make a rule that requires at least two P5 OOC games for every team
And then our OOC is gonna be two cupcakes and Georgia Tech every year. Is it too late to join the Pac?16 provides much better matchups, so long as you have the right 16. We will do one cupcake, one really good OOC, and then another cupcake in GaTech. And then our OOC is gonna be two cupcakes and Georgia Tech every year. Is it too late to join the Pac?
I have my doubts. Would be easier to just do away with the GT rivalry IMO. They go pissed at us after we called them cowards after WW1 and didn’t play us for a while and having them on the schedule adds about as much to the resume as having UL MonroeWe will do one cupcake, one really good OOC, and then another cupcake in GaTech.
Great SOSAnd then our OOC is gonna be two cupcakes and Georgia Tech every year. Is it too late to join the Pac?
NonsenseThe SEC has become the second best conference to the B1G.
Oklahoma would have been more fun as an OOC H and H. And it was on the scheduleGreat SOS
