Arch Manning news ...

Do you suppose that CFB insider was El Texan?
i can't picture @ELTEXAN looking this bad.. his takes make him look this bad, but I hope he doesn't have this type of face

who are y'all circling on for '23 now? or are y'all just gonna focus on '24 and grab one from the portal if things don't look as good after this season?

I like that Sayin kid
The plan, from what I have read, was to go all-in on Manning and not take a top QB for 2023. We might take a developmental guy, but probably not.

We now pretty much have our pick of Sayin and Jadyn Davis. Dylan Raiola already committed to tOSU.

Our QB room looks like this:

SBIV
Carson Beck - 4*, 250 nationally, 9th rated QB - led his team to FL state championship in the highest category as a Junior
Brock Vandagriff - 5*, 17th nationally, 4th rated QB
Gunner Stockton - 4*, 124 nationally, 7th rated QB

The three of them will fight it out next year, with one of Beck or Vandagriff transferring if they don't win. Stockton will be a RS freshman.

Then bring in Sayin or Davis.

Our QB room is quite nice, actually.

which one is the oldest?

In that order
SBIV is 35 years old and has been at UGA for 10 years, or so it seems.
Beck was 2020
Vandagriff 2021
Stockton 2022

Not taking a QB this year means they are comfortable that at least one of the three other guys will be at least a 2 year guy.

It is going to be crazy to see that first Texas-Texas A&M game once Texas joins the SEC.

Seems like just when you get there a couple vanish
attrition en sech
That's the way it is with QBs. You stack them up and let them work it out in practice and on the field.

Bama has been extraordinarily lucky to have all their top guys work out. And Hurts handled it as well as you could.

Same with Clemson until last year and look what happened, even in the ACC. They hit on all their top QBs. When he had to bench the QB for Sunshine, that was about as easy a tough decision as you could make and it worked out. It will be interesting to see what they do this year.

We've had kind of QB chaos that has worked for us. Eason gets injured and Fromm steps in and leaves the field in the NC up three. Unfortunately, he went backwards with OC Coley in his third year and that cost us Fields. Then we get two high level transfers that don't work out - Jamie Newman who quits in 2020, and then JT Daniels gets hurt. I love what SBIV has done, and I look forward to one of these guys stepping up ... they all have great potential.

Transferring is a thing.

No. I didn’t get to do it yet. I had to buy him a bourbon and watch him dance naked at the Broken Spoke.
that wasn't a broken spoke, that's my third leg dragging

Sure but if you can stack QBs straight from HS and get atleast one that can handle the job then there's no need.
Hitting the transfer portal is the plan B

It was all good a year ago it seems

Nah. Let someone else develop 'em and deal with freshman drama. Pick 'em up after they've been kicked around. Lincoln Riley strategy.

Can't wait until he has his first 3 interception game and the fans bitch so he transfers to a real SEC school and dominates

Has anyone else said how terrible of a name Arch is? He is doomed to fail just from that.

He will have an awesome looking uninform tho. So it’s a wash.

Speaking of, WASH is probably the school he’ll transfer to when our starter, Ewers, is doing well leading the team. WASH also has nice uniforms.
