Lets pretend the realignment has happened. Lets say it begins in 2022 and the B1G and SEC agree to a challenge with each other.

Who would play who?

 
They each hold a conference playoff to crown a champ that plays the other conference champ for the Natty.

Nobody cares about Illinois vs Missouri.

Good but I think it will need to rotate regularly because teams will change up.

I originally had Michigan State vs Kentucky as a matchup with basketball schools but figured MSU vs MSU would still be good and Indiana has a good basketball tradition.

why should 4-8 USC play 11-2 Oklahoma? 2-10 Indiana vs 10-3 Kentucky?

Conference standings from the previous year.
Then go down the list of games and alternate between BIG / SEC home games
 
I was coming in here to redicule this whole thing and the more I thought about it, the more I went ... shit, that would generate some eyeballs, that's for sure. If we really want to do something like this here is what has to happen:

1. You have to do home and away ... no way we are going to play UM @ UM and not get a return game.
2. You need to do a rivalry type of analysis. Having LSU v. Rutgers makes no sense, I don't care what last year's record was. LSU is almost always going to be a top 6 SEC team.
3. As bad as Texas is right now, they are going to be an eyeball draw and fans will travel for that game. Same with UF, same with USC.
4. 4 games each week, weeks 1-4.
5. The top 10 matchups would be Four Million Club games, some as many as 12+ million. Al would be over a million.

Although they were more of Basketball rivals, UK and Indiana had a long running football series going on when I first started watching the sport.
