USC and UCLA planning to leave for B10 by 2024!

are you just going to ignore the possibility that a good 10+ win team from the Pac could upset Alabama the same way an 8-4 A&M or 9-3 Auburn did?
aTm has beaten Alabama like twice in 11 years.

Auburn vs Alabama isn't a good example that game is decided by the gods before it is ever played. Unless you are willing to sacrifice virgins, fast for 40 days, sell your soul, and drink the blood of animals I suggest you tread very lightly.

There will never be a brutal schedule in comparison to the SEC or B1G. Maybe a brutal schedule for a PAC team. The PAC was one of, if not, the weakest conference with USC and UCLA. You remove them and it will essentially turn into "the MAC" -- I put that in quotes because that is what a PAC analyst said when he heard USC and UCLA were leaving.

B1G West teams can get around playing a tough schedule if they play the right cross overs from the other conference.

Seriously, Oregon can play a SEC schedule or a PAC. Which one gives you the best chance to get into the CFP?
Neither cuz they would never win a real conference

Sure the SEC is not some super conference where Missouri or Vandy would win 10 games in another league but to say the Pac12 and the SEC are the same competition level is a little silly.

It is a step up in competition. The only league that comes close is probably B1G East with Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Penn State (hell even Maryland and Rutgers are not trash).

Wait!!That works?

They still have as many weak teams in the league.

There are no weak teams in the S-E-C.

Totally disagree with that. The players love the big games. If they don't they aren't on the really good teams. You don't think that the UGFA and Clemson players didn't want that game last year? You don't think that the UGA players didn't love going to ND, or ND getting to play in Stanford?
I agree with you 100% I can assure you that OU players and fans would rather watch their Sooners play a team like Penn State or Clemson on Sept 3 than my Miners! But, we appreciate the check.

Really the only difference between the B10E and B10W is Ohio St

They dominatev both divisions

But if you take them out the West is 11 games over .500 vs the East all time , the West and East have the same amount of ranked teams, the Westv has more top 25 wins and bowl wins

Basically OSU skews everything because they've been so dominant vs the entire league

Not at all. That can always happen. Upsets are one thing, one thing we weren't talking about. We were talking about year in and year out schedules of SEC schools. You pointed out some results of some down teams as if it mattered when you know objectively it doesn't.

Seriously, Oregon can play a SEC schedule or a PAC. Which one gives you the best chance to get into the CFP?
Oregon would have just as good a chance playing an SEC schedule as the 9 schools not named Alabama, Georgia and LSU

a step up in competition?
so is that why 8-4 A&M struggled with 4-8 Colorado?
why 6-6 Texas Tech beat 7-5 Miss state? i mean TT went up in competition right they shouldnt have won that.

Missouri came from BigXII and went 12-2 in only 2 years of being in the SEC.
Texas A&M was 11-2 and 9-4 in their first 2 years of the SEC. but 9-4 and 7-6 in their last 2 years of BIGXII
where was the step up in competition

We take it based on situation. Even outside the SEC, there are teams that play soft and strong schedules. Also Pac12, as a conference, is better some years than other years.

I would have to get a factual situation and compare the schedule of two teams to give feedback.

I will say records don't mean anything. There are 6-6 teams better than 9-3 teams sometimes. Or you have teams that start out hot but their players give up, coach gets fired, etc. and they are not a tough matchup on the back end but are a tough matchup.

I always consider teams like Texas, Auburn, LSU, Florida, USC Trojans, Penn State, Miami, etc. as tough matchups because they have 4 and 5 star players and talent. They may have issues in locker room, with coaches, etc. but they are still solid wins.
thats part of why i dont buy SOS.
they all calculate different
some give weight to just W and L
like a 9-4 UCF, Minnesota, UAB, Army, Central Michigan, and Arkansas are all equal
ranked team when played vs end of season ranking.

That has Iowa written all over it!

LOL ... in what world do you think you would be anything other than a middling to lower SEC team?

Here is what you have done over the past 7 years:

21 - Stanford, Utah, Utah, OU
20 - Oregon State, Cal, Iowa State
19 - Auburn, ASU
18 - Stanford, WSU, Ariz, Utah
17 - ASU, WSU, Stanford, UCLA, UW, Boise State
16 - Nebraska, Colo, WSU, UW, Cal, USC, Stanford, OrSU
15 - MichSU, Utah, WSU, TCU

Losing to middling schools in the PAC means you would be middling or lower in the SEC.

So all those teams listed earlier as being soooooo dangerous in the SEC who are a step up in competition are the same ones who are middling or lower in the SEC now.
so like i said just as good a chance as those other schools like Florida, Missouri, Tennessee

well, Tech had a lil extra motivation,
due to (intentionally by the commitee) the bowl matchup -

also I am not on the team.
closest i can say is we played our HS games in Autzen.
i didnt do any of that.

You would be a middling SEC team. Period. Honestly, I really didn’t realize how bad you guys have been since that run 10 years ago.

It’s tricky because there are multiple steps and if you don’t complete them perfectly, at the exact time and in the correct order then you’re screwed.

Just remember once you start down this path there is no return and you’ve committed to a lifetime of ritual.

There is always a price.
